I can understand the use cases for and against #verified accounts.

As for myself. I own talesofmy.life domain, so all of my accounts will end in talesofmy.life or theres.life

All other accounts should be considered fraudulent. I am currently the only big_diggity in the Fediverse.

I am adding different instances to this domain, so you may get connection requests as I experiment with some of these platforms.

Aside from getting bikes to folks in need, encouraging use of bikes in general is important to me.
I get bikes donated anywhere from <5 to >50 years old. I see some of the same defects over and over. Most bike shops are priced for high end users, so self-maintenance is the norm. There are a LOT of simple repairs/adjustments you can make to your or your child's bike to keep it rolling & safe.

I welcome any "how to" questions.
Please boost; I haven't much reach here yet.

I've had to work all day and very rarely ever work on the weekends. It's 5pm and I'm headed home just now realizing it's Saturday.... not Friday. 🤦‍♂️ Ha! At least Monday is a holiday for me.... and...... my next paycheck will be a big one because of the extra overtime pay. I'm putting that extra cash in the savings to fund my wife and daughter's upcoming Ecuador mission trip.

@royal I posted this using my other server, which runs #Hubzilla , not Mastodon. I like the privacy settings better. I store my photos in my own nextcloud server, so I embed the links into my #Hubzilla post so I'm not storing the same photo in multiple spaces, eating my precious hard drive space. On the Mastodon end, it looks a bit wonky, but I don't care. It's still very viewable.

There's Life is actually running a fork of Mastodon called Glitch-soc. It adds a few more features than a typical Mastodon install would.
Hubzilla is much more complex than Mastodon.

Fediverse Bible Study (@fediversebiblestudy@theres.life)

Hello #FediChurch

I ( @big_diggity ) am working towards kicking off a Fediverse-wide #BibleStudy at the beginning of 2023.

It'll be using the hashtag #FediverseBibleStudy.
The idea is to have a specific time of the week using this account and that hashtag. I'll keep you updated and more details to come soon! 😀📖🤓🧐
